Teaching experience

No, we don't have pianos except on special occasions I have to time to practice because are days are so full...we are in the MTC for much shorter times now so it is packed more full... Yes my comp plays piano! They asked me to play Sunday but I had her do it because she loves to play!! All the trees are decorated on campus! Yeah I leave for Mexico Monday so she will be my comp until then. Half my district leaves Monday and half next week. I won’t have email next week because my pday in the field should be Monday. We have lots of snow now! That is awesome! The temple is closed for fix ups. Hope Joe goes on his mission soon... I am kind of nervous to leave on Monday but excited to go...I think that the mission President there will email you when I get to the mission field to let you know I am safe. That is what I heard from others, but I am not sure. If not, I will email you the following Monday on my pday out there! I am so excited!! Stay warm and safe, can you believe it has been a month and already!!? It’s crazy!

I  love how much Heavenly Father has been blessing me in my studies and prayers! I have received so much more revelation here than I thought was possible! It is like I can have conversations with Him and understand what He is telling me. It is great to feel the spirit so strongly all the time and be guided by it as we teach our investigators!! We had an investigator who was experiencing a lot of trials and who turned to illegal substances to cope, I prayer for him and asked Heavenly Father what to do, Heavenly Father answered my prayer and said, "Just be his friend. He needs a friend," so I went up to the door and it was weird I was completely myself but Heavenly Father brought things to my mouth to say and it made the investigator laugh and I could tell he was feeling comfortable. I swear it was Christ and not me talking the whole time because I would open my mouth and things would just come out. So we got in the door and taught him in the dark with the door open because he was either high or hung over and I was just like, “ I see something in you...tell me your story” ...and it turns out his parents had abandoned him and he was angry and confused at God and was poor and addicted to drugs and stuff. So I don't even remember what I said but by the end he opened up and was excited to meet with us the next day and really wanted to learn more and change. As we were leaving my teacher got excited and was like "sisters come back here" and sat us back down and then he said that that was the best lesson any missionary has taught that investigator in the MTC and highlighted things that I did right but I was like, “that wasn't me...I told Heavenly Father I couldn't do it so He just taught that man”. I felt so happy. I know Heavenly Father is just teaching me through it all. Anyways I hope everything is great at home!! I sent tons of pictures this week in my group emails! Tell Heidi thank you so much for the package,,,,I am sending her a card today!!!! Love and miss you all

Hey Everyone! This is my first Group Email!! Just wanted to let everyone know I am doing really well at the MTC. Learning and growing so much! my teachers are soo good! I gave away my first Book of Mormon this week! I flew to Vegas on monday to get my Visa and prayed to have a missionary experience. on the way there i sat by a bishop and a return missionary so wasn't too successful...But on the plane ride home I sat by a Jehovah Witness and an inactive member!! The Jehovah Witness' name was Kiona and she was a college aged girl who was way sweet, she studies large equipment operation or something like that in montana. We talked about religion the whole time (i think she thougt she was teaching me) and we ended up sharing our favorite stories of Christ. Of course I shared one from the Book of Mormon! I shared in 3 Nephi when Christ blessed all the children and cried because he was so pleased that the ancient people in the americas were so faithful! She seemed pretty touched! So then I gave her a copy of the book of mormon and a pamphlet on the restauration or Christ's church. I showed her the other pamphlets I had and was like "hey i have a bunch if you want any.." and told her what each of them where about and she grabbed the one about the plan of salvation! I was so happy! Funny thing was that her mom had flown to vegas a couple weeks ago and sat by a young sister missionary who talked about Christ with her too! The Gospel is amazing, and the plan of salvation is amazing! It is such a blessing to know who we are, we are children of a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to experience life to its fullest and grow as much as we can!! I am so glad he has given us a latter day prophet to help lead us to real lasting happiness, and a gospel that can empower us and help us become Christlike and loving in all we do and say!! Everything I learn in classes is so uplifting and I can't wait to go find the people God has prepared and help them remember the truth about life! Christ's church is on the earth today and he is the head of it still! I feel so grateful for the Holy Ghost and prayer! Without prayer I wouldn't have made it this far! Everytime I kneel down i feel Heavenly Father strengthen me!  I know with all my heart that the Savior lives and wants us all to be happy!  He has lovingly set the example for us and wants us to return to our Father's presence!! If any of you feel alone just pray, it works! My district here in the MTC is made up of 6 sister missionaries! Our teacher told us we are the first all sister district in the history of the spanish department of the MTC! We are all going to different missions in Mexico! Our teachers pretend to be people they taught and then we teach them to practice and so far they said that we are doing really well! We teach and speak in all spanish it is crazy how fast we have been learning the language!! One of the companionships on Monday got our teacher to cry because he was touched by how hard we have been working and how prepared we are and how strongly we know that our Savior lives and loves us! I can't wait to go to the temple tonight!! Well I am about out of time but i miss you all and love you! Send me letters!!
